Classes are made up of 6-12 children and their adult caregivers. All classes are for mixed age family groups. (Why mixed ages? Read the FAQs to find out.)

Each week we explore the songs and chants in the semester's song collection. A dozen musical experiences are included in each class, which incorporate fun, playful, and interactive ways to focus on tonal and rhythmic elements of music. Instruction is informal; children may or may not participate as they choose and do so according to their developmental level.

Our teachers help adults understand how to participate, regardless of their musical ability, and the importance of relaxing and enjoying the activities with their children. Parent education during class will help parents understand the relevance of class activities to each child's musical development.

Our summer sessions run for six weeks. Classes are held weekly and last forty-five minutes each. Please note that we are running summer classes in two time frames. The early session runs in June and July, and the late session runs in July and August. To help with family vacations and other summer travel, families can make up missed classes in either session.
